I heard a couple songs by Sia on Nip/Tuck and immediately ran to Itunes and downloaded them. I downloaded "Numb" Saturday and have played it exactly 57 times since. I'll listen to it at least 4more times tonight. I downloaded some more of her tracks and a few she did with Zero 7. And then I went on youTube and watched some of her videos. And man- she reminds me a lot of Liz. Kind of not super pretty, kind of shy, but possessing of an incredible range and potent eroticism. The music is very different than the Twins (no Banshees influence) but downbeat and lush like the Twins. She has the ame playfulness and multitracks just like Liz.
So- anyone heard her and get Liz flashbacks?

Thu, August 17, 2006 - 11:31 PMYes, in 'Numb' I heard a trickle of liz stylin', but listening to her other songs I hear more Tori, Fiona, Carol KIng, even a little Esthero. And she's cute and all, great voice, good vibin', but not Liz. Not to this ear anyway. ;^)
Nothing I have heard has reached the Soul level of Liz that trancends the boundaries of the mind and fly in the sky of the Heart. But I'd buy a CD.
